With the aim of capturing the knowledge developed collaboratively in a digital form, the planning team has been building a “digital twin” of the HIL building since the start of the project. The model represents not only the geometry of the existing structure, but also includes information on usage, daylight, and building components. This allows us to gain a better understanding of what is happening where in the building at any given time. It also reveals connections that are not apparent in everyday use.
