In April, sensors placed at changing locations measure temperature differences on both sides of the windows at various points throughout the HIL. This makes it possible to assess the condition of the roughly 50-year-old glazing and how well it still performs in terms of insulation.
The results provide a basis for developing façade renovation strategies. The measurements are part of the input project and the course Praktikum Umweltbeobachtung led by Professor Stefanie Hellweg.
