As part of the first edition of the “Digital Theory and Culture” course, taught this year as “Computational Design III/IV” by Prof. Benjamin Dillenburger and Prof. Bernd Bickel, students are presenting their work in a public exhibition.
The projects explore four thematic fields at the intersection of architecture, digital culture, and computational design: “Design Synthesis” through parametric modelling and AI-assisted coding, “Communicating Space” through physically based and AI-enhanced rendering, “Working with the Existing” through spatial point-cloud collages, and “Making Physical” through multi-functional architectural elements designed for large-scale 3D printing. The exhibition features more than 300 models as well as three full-scale 1:1 prototypes.
